Several fun fundraisers were held Sunday in Lackawanna County.

Walkers and runners hit the pavement in Scranton to help fight a debilitating disease. Hundreds laced up Sunday for the annual Lupus Loop 5-k walk-run in Nay Aug Park.

Lupus attacks the immune system and can affect women and men.

The annual event is the largest fundraiser for the Lupus Foundation.

Money raised in Scranton will go toward educational programs and research on lupus.

Also at Nay Aug Park, an event was held to help out our four-legged friends called Bark in the Park.

Dogs and their owners were welcome to sniff out the vendors, enjoy demonstrations and howl to live music.

There were also several animal rescue groups raising money and encouraging pet adoption.

Also in Lackawanna County, a slightly racier fundraiser was held to help fight breast cancer.

Dozens of people on ATVs took a ride for the second annual Bras for a Cause in Dunmore Sunday.

The group Pink Ribbon Riders hosted the event.

People paid to ride on the trails.  Anyone who found a hidden bra got a prize.

Money raised provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients in our area.
