Several members of the 2011-2012 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins hockey took to the ice at the Coal Street Ice Complex on Thursday morning. They included Brian Gibbons, Patrick Killeen, Carl Sneep, Paul Thompson, and Kevin Veilleux. Most of the guys we’re there voluntarily, but for some it was a chance to get back on the ice with their teammates-some coming off injury years like Carl Sneep.

Brian Dumoulin the 20-year-old defenseman prospect can over to the Penguins in the off-season when Pittsburgh sent Jordan Staal to Carolina.

Tom Kuknhacki, Reid McNeil, and Jayson Megna skated along with the 2011 first round pick Joe Morrow.

Beau Bennett the 2010 first round pick of Pittsburgh also got some ice time. Bennett injured his wrist two years ago and sat out all of last season. He is hoping for a great return here in 2012-2013 with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL.
