LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP -- Four students from Shikellamy High School were involved in a crash Friday along Route 304 in Union County, according to state police.

Investigators said it happened around 9:30 a.m. in Limestone Township, near Mifflinburg.

Four teenagers were inside an SUV when it flipped over on Route 304 near Mifflinburg. State police say they were on their way to class at Sun Tech Vocational School.

Barry Hauck brought some of his farm equipment to help move the vehicle. He says two of the teens were thrown from the SUV, and one was trapped inside.

"And there was a fourth one sitting beside the car. He said he thought his leg was broke," Hauck said.

State police say the driver lost control of the vehicle and it hit an embankment. It landed on its roof about 100 yards away.

"Cd's scattered all over the road. When it hit it hit hard," Hauck said.

State police believe the driver may have been speeding and lost control of the vehicle. All four are students in the Shikellamy Area School District. They were driving to vo-tech school, which is about two miles away.

"Nobody really talked during lunch. Our math class was empty where they sat with us. Out of 20 students only five were there," Travis Renninger said.

Travis Renninger has class with one of the students who was in the crash. He says that student always takes the bus...but on this day he got a ride to school.

"He was one of my partners at school. He sits beside me and it was kinda weird today not having him there," Renninger said.

Sun Tech Vocational School brought in grief counselors to talk to the students.

"All our class was upset. We didn't really want to work we just sat in the theory room all day," Dakota Ettinger said.

Because of the crash, district officials in Shikellamy postponed tonight's football game at Selinsgrove. It will now be played on Monday at 7pm. All of the teens are in a hospital, one is still in critical condition. State police say it is too early to tell if charges will be filed in the crash.
