OLD FORGE -- A man's property has been hit by fire two days in a row in Lackawanna County.

A sport/utility vehicle belonging to William Snyder caught fire after midnight Thursday on Connell Street in Old Forge.

Authorities know this is the fourth fire in this neighborhood since Tuesday.

The third was in Snyder's garage late Tuesday night.

He believes someone set this fire, and says his neighbor saw someone running away from his SUV after it flared up Thursday morning.

“I’ve been going frantic ever since somebody tried to set our house on fire. We also had a break-in today, too. I’ve been really on edge lately,” said Snyder. “I guarantee I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight. I’m way too afraid to even try, to attempt to. I mean, God knows what’s going to happen next.”

A vacant home, also on Connell Street, was gutted by flames Tuesday morning, and a truck also caught fire in the same area around the same time.

None of these fires in Old Forge have officially been ruled arson, but police say all of them are under investigation.
