At (2-0) the Scranton Knights are happy, hungry for another win, and healthy heading into week three against Wyoming Valley West.

"I am very happy with the kids. They came out to play the first two weeks. You know it's only two weeks we got to keep it going and get better every week, but like you said (2-0) I don't think we started (2-0) in a long time," said Mike Marichak.

"Off to a hot start you have to be happy as a senior? Focus in on valley West and talk about them? Valley West we come out and hit them hard. We hit them last year. We hit them pretty hard. We hit Eugene Lewis. He's not there anymore, so now we hit their tailback. I forget his name, but he is definitely a factor and we are going to take him out of the game plan and hit hard. Every play hit physical and play hard," said Kyle Czarkowski.

"Are offensive line is very physical and I'm very happy with them. They have come a long way. They put in a great off-season in the weight room, and at every level I keep saying it over and over again but it all starts up front," again said Mike.

For any quarterback experience is critical and we've seen that from Marlinn Waiters here at Scranton. He got his first start last year live on WNEP2 against Wyoming Valley West and since then we've seen the improvement in skill level and decision-making.

"I think I've gotten a lot better, but I still have a lot of work to do. It just comes in every game I have to be confident and play up to the level I am at practice. If I do that I think I can be pretty good," said Marlinn Waiters.

"He's come a very long way having one year under your belt. He is a senior now. Last year was his first year, and he has improved. You know after the first couple of games he's gotten better-better now this year. He has improved now he is becoming a leader," added Mike Marichak.

With Marlinn on his mark these Knights hope to conquer the Spartans in Kingston Friday night. With a win Scranton improves to (3-0). Scranton is currently ranked #2 in the WNEP Super 16 countdown.
