Gunfire Incident Leads To Arrest

SIMPSON — A man was taken into custody in Lackawanna County after he allegedly fired a gun at his girlfriend’s head.

It happened around 11 p.m. Friday at a home in Simpson.

Officers believe Richard Ormsby got into and argument with his girlfriend and fired a rifle at her.

She said Ormsby claimed he didn’t know the gun was loaded.

Ormsby was tracked down and arrested Monday. He faces aggravated assault and reckless endangerment charges.

He is locked up in Lackawanna County.
