MAHANOY CITY -- People moved by the July death of a teenager are using the power of the internet to show support for the teen's family. That support has turned into a full-fledged fundraiser.

Travel through Mahanoy City and you'll see banners strung on homes. The signs read “Honk For Feet.”  The message has been picked up on the internet to help a crash victim's family cope.

Adele Seabra made some of the signs.

“Everybody loved him and I know what the mother felt like so I know she needed the support.”

“I just couldn't believe it. It didn't seem right at all. The kid never sped, kid never did anything reckless. It's crazy it happened to him,” said Jordan Renfrow.

“I was in shock because you never expect it to happen, especially to such a sweet kid,” said Carla Abrachinsky.

Palubinsky's friends have turned the tragedy into a fundraiser for Feet`s family.  Stickers saying "Honk For Feet" are for sale.   Wristbands are also being sold to raise money.

“Pretty much the whole town came together just to support. It's pretty awesome. I think that only in Mahanoy City or Schuylkill County that this would able to happen,” said Aaron Broomell.

Those involved in the Honk For Feet program said donations are still being accepted by the family. Donations can be sent to the Jonathan Palubinsky fund at any M and T Bank.
