MOOSIC -- Police from all over Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties were called to Route 502 in Moosic for a shooting incident around 7 p.m. on Sunday. Police said no one was hurt, and they have several people who may have been involved in custody, but they are still on the lookout for one or two shooting suspects.

Police were initially sent to two places, the old Rocky Glen Park in Moosic and the Moosic Carwash. Investigators believe shots were fired in both spots.

A man who was involved in the shooting said he and a few friends were confronted by another group of men about an ATV. The argument over the ATV escalated and ended with one group shooting at the other.

When police were called they immediately started chasing after the shooting suspects. Police said they believe only one person fired shots, but they don't know if the shooter is one of the men still on the loose. Police are still searching for one or two suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Assistant District Attorney, Gene Talerico said he does not believe the shooting is gang related, and he said it is an isolated incident.

Talerico also said police do not think this shooting incident is related to similar reports in Luzerne County.
