Festival Of Wales In Scranton

SCRANTON — La Festa Italiana is not the only ethnic festival in Scranton this Labor Day Weekend.

Another festival in being held that celebrates Welsh culture.

The North American Festival of Wales is already underway at the Hilton on Adams Avenue.

There are a number of events and attractions, including a marketplace featuring all sorts of Welsh items, such as jewelry, clothing and food.

Organizers tell us the last time the Welsh festival was held in our area was in 1993 in Wilkes-Barre.

The festival runs through Sunday in Scranton.
