CONYNGHAM TOWNSHIP — Crews in Columbia County were called out Wednesday to rescue a man from a coal truck that went over an embankment.
A worker from the Blaschak coal company told Newswatch 16 it happened around 9 a.m. in Conyngham Township, outside Mount Carmel.
The man was driving the truck on active coal mining land when it fell about 500 feet down the embankment.
Crews said the driver has injuries and they are working to get him out.
