Scranton Home Hit By Flames
SCRANTON — An early morning fire tore through a home in Lackawanna County.
The double-block home on South Hyde Park Avenue in Scranton went up around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Flames were shooting through the roof of the building, which neighbors said was vacant.
“We were up the block and we saw the smoke and we came running down and I knocked on the door. Nobody lived there and we called 911,” said Mike Baldoni.
Authorities tell Newswatch 16 people were seen running from the home just as the fire started.
It will be up to fire inspectors to figure out the cause.
