The 7th Annual Roof-A-Thon at “Wendy’s” along Davis Street in Scranton is underway today through Wednesday. Cash collected benefits American Red Cross chapters in our area and is put toward disaster relief. The event runs 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. “Wendy’s” in Luzerne & Lackawanna Counties plan to donate a portion of the proceeds from their “son of a baconator” sandwiches to the cause as well. Other events include: a blood drive outside “Wendy’s” along Davis Street on Tuesday (8/26) from Noon until 4 p.m. Area DJ’s from Cumulus Media will also be on the roof to broadcast during the three day event.
