SCRANTON -- Police arrested a man they believe is responsible for three different robberies this month in Lackawanna County.

Officers said they arrested Nicholas Garan Sunday when he was spotted walking along Wyoming Avenue in Scranton.

Garan, 31, is accused of holding up three businesses:

  • The Great Wall of China restaurant on Monroe Avenue in Dunmore on Sunday
  • The Wayne Bank on South Main Avenue on August 21
  • The Sunoco Mini-Mart on south Main Avenue on August 20

Police said Garan admitted he robbed the places to support his drug habit.

He is locked up in Lackawanna County.
