SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT -- The Little League World Series is in the books.
After more than a week of games in South Williamsport, Japan is heading home with the title.
Japan jumped out to an early lead during the championship game on Sunday, and never looked back.
A crowd of nearly 25,000 fans watched the Japanese team dominate on the perfect day for baseball.
It was the final game of the 66th Little League World Series, and the hills overlooking Lamade Stadium were filled with fans.
Out of all the baseball games played in the last two weeks, either Japan or Tennessee would end up world champs.
We found a father and son from New Jersey pulling for the boys from Goodlettesville.
“It's magical it's, an unbelievable place. It's beautiful, right?” said Frank Incantalupo of New Jersey.
Even higher up on the hill, in nature's nosebleed seats was the Harmon Family from Muncy. The championship game is the first they made it to this year.
“It's real good, except for the tree right there in front of us, hard to see third base, outside of that it's easy to see,” said Allan Harman of Muncy.
The crowd had nearly 25,000 fans, and some were pulling for the team from Japan.
“They're tough. They have pitching, hitting, everything all around is pretty good about them,” said Matthew Gillespie of Virginia.
“We'll cheer them all on. It's a great game, but USA all the way!” said Tina Harman of Muncy.
