UNIVERSITY PARK — The victim from Clinton County whose accusations led to the investigation into the sexual abuse case against Jerry Sandusky, has now filed a lawsuit against Penn State university.
The suit was filed Friday in Philadelphia state court.
According to attorneys for the person known as “Victim #1”, the lawsuit accuses university officials of making “Deliberate decisions not to report Sandusky to authorities”.
Sandusky is awaiting sentencing. He was convicted in June of sexually abusing several boys, both on and off campus.
The suit asks for compensation of upwards of $50,000.
Another Sandusky accuser has filed a federal lawsuit, while a third victim is expected to file a complaint.
