It's cook-out food for lunch here at the Boys and Girls Club of Northeastern Pennsylvania, in Scranton.

Burgers and dogs. Followed by all sorts of activites.

An estimated 200-children were given free health screenings, plus safety and hygiene information, at this back to school health fair.

"It's an opportunity to receive some key health screenings as they begin a new school year, help get them off on the right foot."

The health screening portion of the day was earlier in the morning.

Health providers from across the area volunteered their time for the event.

Then came the fun activites- such as face-painting and Zumba.

The idea was to instill healthy habits early to help their overall health down the road.

"I don't think they realize the importance of the preventive screenings, but while we're here we'll do Zumba, have a picnic. They'll get to mix and mingle with kids their own age as well."
