DUNMORE -- A tractor trailer crash shut down a busy interstate in Lackawanna County for hours on Wednesday.

Police said a tractor trailer was traveling on Interstate 84 eastbound in Dunmore when it rolled down a 100-foot embankment.

Authorities believe the man driving suffered a heart attack, and that's what caused him to crash.

After falling down the embankment, the man climbed back up by himself.

He was then taken to the hospital.

No other vehicles or people were involved in the crash.

There is no word on the man's name or condition.

Thursday, crews were back on the scene of the crash, using a crane to clean-up the mess left behind. Workers picked up box after box after box dumped from the rig down the embankment.

Also Thursday, a military vehicle had to be towed from near the tractor-trailer crash site after engine trouble.

Both the clean-up and military truck problem caused some back-ups on Interstate 84.
