Loaded Gun Found in High School Student’s Locker

SCRANTON — A 17-year-old West Scranton High School football player was arrested after a loaded gun was found in his locker.

Police said the football coach found the stolen weapon Tuesday after hearing a rumor at practice.

Investigators said the gun was stolen from a car along Penn Avenue in July.

The player is charged as a juvenile.

It is not clear if the player is still on the team.
