LATHROP TOWNSHIP — A late night fire broke out at a natural gas well in Susquehanna County.
Crews were called to the well on the Abington and Waterford Turnpike in Lathrop Township, near Hop Bottom around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities had the road to the scene blocked off when we arrived.
We’re told the fire started because a piece of equipment malfunctioned.
No one was hurt in the fire.
