While we don't have any "real" beaches in Lackawanna county, I did find a sand volleyball court at Waldorf Park in Scranton, and it was the perfect place to play a little beach volleyball! My instructor, Cheyne Wago, taught me all the basics from bumping, to setting, and serving, and when I felt comfortable enough with my skills, I decided to join a real team. My new teammates invited me to warm up with them and then to my surprise, I was able to play in a game with them too. Beach volleyball proved to be a very enjoyable summer activity, that was easy to learn and a game that I would love to play again!
