Man Locked Up For Threats Against Judge

KINGSTON — A man is in jail in Luzerne County charged with threatening to kill a magisterial district judge.

Frank Kearney, 50, of Wilkes-Barre is accused of terroristic threats and harassment.

Kearney threatened to kill District Justice Paul Roberts of Kingston, according to police.

Kearney already had several outstanding warrants and fines at that judge’s office, totaling more than $2,000.

Police add that Kearney admitted to making the threat against the magistrate in Luzerne County.
