SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT -- Thousands of families make the trip to the Little League World Series every year to take in the games and to enjoy all the Williamsport area has to offer.
We found lots of folks filling up at Dunkin' Donuts in South Williamsport.
Before heading to the games, a family from New York headed to a nearby zoo.
"It is primarily Little League we come here for. We're driving up to Clyde Peeling's Reptiland, been there before, great place to go," said Bob Ghizzoni, of New York.
In addition to paying for coffee and donuts, visitors from all over sign this book. That's just how much business this and other places get during the world series.
"We are really busy this time of year. It's great because it makes the days go a lot faster," said Lacyinda Martinez, a worker at Dunkin' Donuts.
A study done last year around this time found the Williamsport area hotels, restaurants, and shops raked it in thanks to little league and all the fans.
"The economic impact from world series was over $30 million boost to the area,"
said Jason Fink, Lycoming County Visitors Bureau.
The hotels in Billtown are typically sold out. Nearly 200 rooms at the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are filled with families and ESPN crews, not just this year, but every year.
"It's a great two weeks of the year We're full from the beginning it starts until Sunday, the final game," said Jennifer Locey, a manager at Chartwell Hotels.
It's the hospitality and the chance to see the Little League World Series that brings the Reilly family back to spend time and money.
"It's a good way to come and see some baseball but be able to support community and have fun with kids, too," said Suzanne Reilly, of Connecticut.
