BUTLER TOWNSHIP -- One is dead after a two car crash Tuesday morning in Luzerne County.
The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. in Butler Township on Interstate 81 near the interchange with Interstate 80.
Troopers said the man killed was 74 and from New York City, New York.
Investigators said the man was trying to merge onto Interstate 81 north when it drove into the path of another car. The car smashed into the driver side causing the man's vehicle to spin.
The two occupants of the second car are from Kulpmont. The passenger was injured and taken the hospital.
