Pregnant Woman Charged With Selling Heroin
SCRANTON — Scranton police arrested a pregnant woman Monday on charges related to the distribution of heroin.
Authorities arrested Carol Baldwin at an apartment on Washburn Street in Scranton around 6:25 a.m. Monday.
Officers said another woman was also taken into custody.
Investigators said 33 packets of heroin were hidden in a baby wipes box in the bedroom.
Police said Baldwin, who is seven months pregnant, faces charges which include the selling of heroin.
Three young children who were at the apartment during the bust were taken by Children and Youth.
Baldwin is locked up at a Lackawanna County jail.
