TUNKHANNOCK -- An 88-year-old woman took to the skies over Wyoming County on Saturday to jump out of an airplane.

Believe it or not, that wasn't the self-proclaimed "extreme grandma's" first time taking the plunge!

Flying high at 12,000 feet, some moments in life just don't need words.

“The feeling when you’re going out of that plane, that is the thrill of it all. That is the thrill, diving out of that plane!" said Clara White of Wapwallopen.

This is the eighth time White has jumped out of a plane at Skyhaven Airport in Tunkhannock.

She said it's something that she's always wanted to do. Her family calls her crazy, but she said she's an extreme grandma.

“I'm just excited, ready to go, that's it. I never had no fear of it at all, never. Not even the first time,” said White.

“Mom has done about everything, except maybe bull riding. She's gone Parasailing, snorkeling, hot air ballooning. She loves roller coasters, she's nuts, so when she said 'I'd like to sky dive,' I said 'alright, let's set it up,'” said Norma Paisley, White’s daughter.

Those who've been with White since the beginning said White is an inspiration to everyone.

“Just be young at heart, enjoy life. It's one trip, and make the best of it, it's a lot of fun,” said Tom Cavage of Endless Mountain Skydivers.

White said she'll live by her motto, "Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway.”

“It's just awesome, that's all, I just want to do it again and again!” said White.

White said she will continue skydiving until she's 100.
