UPDATE:  According to federal court records, Jarmila Friedland pleaded guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Bank Fraud. Friedland entered the plea in June 2014. As part of the plea deal, other charges were dismissed. In January 2015, she was sentenced to two years probation.

BRODHEADSVILLE — A realtor from Monroe County is accused of committing fraud and conspiring with a marijuana growing operation.

Jarmila Friedland, 62, from Brodheadsville was indicted Thursday on conspiracy, bank fraud, and money laundering charges.

Investigators claim that from 2008 to 2010, Friedland allegedly took part in a conspiracy to fraudulently acquire properties for an indoor marijuana growing operation in Monroe County.

Friedland could face up to 25 years in prison.
