SCRANTON — Some workers at a plant in Lackawanna County are losing their jobs.
According to plant officials, 60 workers at General Dynamics in Scranton will be out of work.
The layoffs will happen in three phases starting in October.
The company said the reason for the layoffs is related to federal defense contracts coming to an end.
Only the plant in Scranton is affected. Currently 245 people work there.
The plant makes ammunition parts for the U.S. military.
Workers were notified last week.
