HAZLETON -- Hazleton police are still looking for answers after a man found lying on the street bleeding earlier this month died.

People who live on Carson Street in Hazleton call it a fairly quiet neighborhood. They told us there's not a lot of activity on the stretch between 9th and 10th Streets. So when they heard a man was found lying in the road, unconscious, with several severe injuries, many were shocked.

Hazleton police said they found, Aaron Reznick, 29, of Ebervale, in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 4.

Police said Reznick was found lying on the ground on Carson Street, police said he was bleeding from his face and head.

Reznick's family said he worked at Lancaster Laboratories as a chemist. He was taken to Hazleton General Hospital and later flown to Lehigh Valley Medical Center.

Police said he was in critical condition.

Reznick died on Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Police said Reznick's car was found the next day but they won't say where. They are now searching the vehicle for clues.

The Luzerne County District Attorney said Reznick's death is suspicious.

The Lehigh County coroner did an autopsy on Reznick, but the D.A. said the results and any information regarding Reznick's death will not yet be released, because it's an ongoing investigation.

If you have any information on what might have led to Reznick's injuries and death, call Hazleton police at 570-459-4940.
