FREELAND -- Police in Luzerne County are searching for a thief who stole money from a market in Freeland.
Police said the robbery happened at Carone's Market on Front Street around 9:00 p.m. Monday.
Investigators have store surveillance video that shows a man at the cash register in the store checking out. He was paying for his items when he grabbed money out of the register.
The cashier tried to snatch the money back, but said the man pulled it back and said he needed the money. The thief then left the store.
Police said about $100 dollars was taken. Anyone with information is asked to call Freeland Police.
