Lightning Blamed For House Fire

BENTON TOWNSHIP — Flames gutted a home in Lackawanna County.

Crews were called around 9 p.m. Thursday, but the home on Pine Hill Road in Benton Township was full of fire by the time they arrived.

No one was home at the time.

Neighbors think lightning might have caused the fire.

The chief tells us the cause is under investigation.
