TROY -- A woman is expected to plead guilty to theft and embezzlement charges after authorities say she took more than $100,000 from a health care center she used to work for.
Joanne Beers, 56, of Monroeton worked as a supervisor at Martha Lloyd Community Services in Troy.
The facility provides programs and services in Bradford and Tioga counties for persons with disabilities.
Federal investigators said Beers used credit cards belonging to the center to embezzle the money. According to court papers she used it to buy all sorts of things for herself, including clothes, electronics, and hair care.
