Bridge Closed After Truck Fire

SUNBURY — Part of a bridge in Northumberland County was closed on Thursday because of a truck fire.

State police said a truck caught fire Thursday afternoon on Veterans’ Memorial Bridge along Route 61 in Sunbury.

Oil from the truck leaked all over the road.

PennDOT detoured southbound traffic while the mess was cleaned up.
