ARMSTRONG TOWNSHIP — A man from Lycoming County faces arson charges after authorities say he admitted to setting a fire last month at a home near South Williamsport.
James Lee, 29, a former Marine, told authorities he started a fire in the fireplace of the home he was staying at with his mother and stepfather.
The man told police he was burning military photos and records and that his intent was to burn the house down.
He also told police he wanted people to believe he died in the fire.
Lee is locked up in the Lycoming County prison.
