Police: Woman Stabs Boyfriend Over Cocaine

WILKES-BARRE -- Police arrested a woman Tuesday morning after authorities said she stabbed her boyfriend after an argument over drugs.

The attack happened Tuesday around 6:30 a.m. at a home on East Northampton Street in Wilkes-Barre.

Police said Melissa Major of Wilkes-Barre stabbed her boyfriend after he refused to buy her crack cocaine.

Emergency responders said the man was stabbed in the left side. His current condition is unknown.

Authorities said Major was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and as soon as she is discharged will be locked up in Luzerne County jail.

She is charged with aggravated assault.
