WILKES-BARRE -- All the video that Wilkes-Barre police have made public so far is a grainy picture of a black pickup truck along Wilkes-Barre boulevard.
Police believe it's the same truck that hit Rebecca McCallick early last Tuesday on Hazle Street.
The Kings College student died a short time after getting hit.
The driver of the pickup has not been found.
The city spokesperson tells Newswatch 16 the images did not come from the city's security cameras, such as those on public square.
Instead, the pickup truck was captured on video taken by a security camera from the Wilkes-Barre Housing Authority. The city says images from those cameras are not as clear as ones from Wilkes-Barre's security system.
Some people who live close to where McCallick was killed on Hazle Street want the city to install security cameras in that area. Melia Rushton has a message for the driver who never stopped.
"Turn yourself in. This girl has a family. She has friends, people that love her, that care about her, same as you, people that care about you. Turn yourself in!" said Rushton.
