STATE COLLEGE -- The first person arrested in the riot at Penn State after Joe Paterno's firing last November pleaded guilty in court Tuesday.

According to court documents, Patrick McLauglin, 45, of Albrightsville, entered his guilty plea just before his trial was scheduled to start in a Centre County court.

Charges on McLaughlin ranged from disorderly conduct to arson.

Centre County's defense attorney's office said it is asking for McLaughlin to do jail time for the danger he caused to the community.

McLaughlin is scheduled to be sentenced on September 11.
