Former Attorney Handed More Charges

WILKES-BARRE — A former attorney from Luzerne County was hit with several more counts of mail fraud on Tuesday.

Anthony Lupas, 77, was arraigned back in May on five charges of mail fraud.

A superseding indictment filed Tuesday charges him with 29 counts of mail fraud.

Federal prosecutors allege that Lupas used the U.S. postal service to run a scheme that cheated several clients of more than $6 million.
