Man Shot and Killed After Police Chase

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP — A man is dead after being shot by police after a chase in Tioga County.

State troopers said Brian Elwood, 28, led local officers on a chase in Lawrence Township, near the New York border early Sunday morning.

When Elwood’s vehicle went off the road, police surrounded him.

Troopers said Elwood rammed a police vehicle then started to drive towards an officer.

That’s when the policeman shot and killed him.
