FREELAND -- The National Weather Service confirmed Saturday it was a tornado that wrecked a building in Luzerne County on Thursday.
A warehouse building for a meat-packing plant near Freeland was partially collapsed after strong storms swept through our area.
Officials now report the walls were buckled by a EF-1 twister with 90 mile an hour winds.
The National Weather Service said other damage in nearby Sugarloaf and Butler township was caused by straight line winds, not a tornado.
