FAIRMOUNT TOWNSHIP -- State police are investigating a Tuesday evening crash in Luzerne County that killed one and injured four others.
Troopers said the crash happened on Route 487 in the Red Rock area of Fairmount Township around 6:40 p.m.
Investigators said a car driving south crossed the middle boundary line and smashed the front of a car in the northbound lane.
The passenger of the car that crossed the road was killed.
Troopers have identified her as Kelci Gibbons, 22, of Dallas.
Two other people in that car were injured.
Authorities said both the driver and passenger in the other vehicle were also injured.
Route 487 was shut down for five hours as crews cleaned the debris.
State police are investigating the crash.
