WHITE MILLS -- One person is dead and another injured after a head-on collision in White Mills area of Texas Township Tuesday afternoon, according to state police in Wayne County.
Investigators said the crash happened on Route 6 around 2:00 p.m.
Troopers said a car and a mail truck crashed head-on, then the truck smashed into the White Mills fire department.
The driver of the car Donna Chestnut, 39, from Hawley was killed, according to the Wayne County coroner.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital but was not seriously injured.
Route 6 was closed in both directions while emergency crews cleaned up the wreck. State police are investigating the cause of the crash.
