Suspicious Fire Under Investigation

DUNMORE — Two people were hurt in a fire in Lackawanna County and police think it could be a case of arson.

The alarm in the 1600 block of Electric Street in Dunmore came in around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police tell Newswatch 16 they were called because of what they call a “disturbance” just two hours before.

Police call the fire suspicious and a state police fire marshal is investigating.

Police also tell us two people were taken to the hospital after breathing in too much smoke and suffering burns.
