MONTOURSVILLE — A judge re-sentenced a man in Lycoming County after he was found guilty of shooting two of his neighbors dogs in June.

Randy Feigles had his sentence reduced from 10 months to eight months  Monday.  Feigles was originally sentenced under guidelines for “using a deadly weapon enhancement”.

A law clerk brought attention to the judge that this guideline does not apply to animal cruelty charges.

Feigles still must pay restitution and do 100 hours of community service.

According to court documents, Feigles shot two of his neighbor’s dogs, killing one of them. The shooting happened last year after they wandered on his property near Montoursville.
