HAZLE TOWNSHIP -- Dozens gathered in Luzerne County to show their support for a teen from Hazleton who has been battling cancer since last year.
Leon Cunningham, 18, also known as LJ, was diagnosed with cancer in December.
The benefit Sunday was held at Community Park in Hazle Township, just outside Hazleton.
There was plenty of food, basket raffles, live entertainment, and even a dunk tank.
LJ was grateful for what he saw.
“Some of them are strangers, but a lot of them, friends, family, they've been there since the beginning, and they're going to be there until the end,” said LJ. “It makes me feel like I'm not alone.”
There is also a fund set up for donations under "LJ’s Fight Against Cancer" at any PNC Bank.
