High-Voltage Line Deadly To Worker

RICHMOND TOWNSHIP — A man from Luzerne County has died after getting an electric shock last week.

Robert Hannigan, 56, from Hunlock Creek came into contact with a high-voltage wire while hanging cable, according to the Lehigh County coroner.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday in Richmond Township, Tioga County, near Mansfield.

Hannigan was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital where he died around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
