Storage Building Burns Near Pittston

PITTSTON TOWNSHIP — Flames raced through a storage building early Tuesday in Luzerne County.

Crews from several communities were called out to battle the fire off Suscon Road in Pittston Township around 3:30 a.m.

Authorities said the place is in such a remote area they had a hard time getting water to the structure.

There was at least one piece of heavy equipment inside.

Crews called in the state police fire marshal to investigate the cause.
