WEST PITTSTON -- A new restaurant is scheduled to open Wednesday in Luzerne County in the same area a business was lost during the flood last September.

A chiropractor's office once stood on the corner of Exeter Avenue and Wyoming Avenue in West Pittston. In September, 2011, the office was destroyed by the flood and the owner decided not to bring the business back.

Barry Hosier, a friend of the landowner, decided to lease the building, make repairs, and open his own restaurant.

The B3Q Smokehouse will serve pork barbecue, beef brisket and fresh-cut french fries.

Hosier, a native of West Pittston, said he decided to open the restaurant to show the community is restoring itself after the flooding in 2011.

"I`m a hometown boy, born and raised here. I just decided that I wanted to try and help rebuild the community. It`s important to me, my family, everyone that lives here," said Hosier.
