NOXEN — The owners of a convenient store in Wyoming County face charges that involve distributing and selling bath salts.

According to documents filed by the United States Attorneys office, Naishad Patel, 30, and Dipika Patel, 27, were arrested on November 2, 2011 after a raid was conducted at Noxen Food Mart in Noxen.  The couple co-owned the business.

Charges were officially filed last Thursday.  Naishad and Dipika Patel face a maximum of 20 years in jail and a fine up to $1,000,000.

Bath Salts, also know as Methylendioxyprovalerone, was categorized as an illegal drug in October, 2011. 

The investigation was conducted by local, state, and federal agents.
