DEL. WATER GAP -- One firework display is scheduled for Tuesday night at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area.

And that's not all the resort has planned.

Crews at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort near Delaware Water Gap put together the tables and tents for the resort's weekly farmer's market and outdoor concert series.

For the first time, these two events come on the same day as the Fourth of July fireworks display put on by the nearby Shawnee Mountain Ski Area.

"We're really excited about this nice great package for the community. Our community concert is free and open to the public. Anyone can come," said Jeromy Wo of Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.

The concert featured a brass and percussion ensemble performing patriotic tunes.

The farmer's market is filled with 20 different artisans.

Two miles away, Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is holding its annual fireworks display which includes plenty of events for the entire family.

Gates open at 7:00 p.m.

"We have a magic show for the kids, we have lots of vendors coming in.  We'll have outdoor music and dancing going on.  Just get ready for a great fireworks show. That begins at around 9:15 p.m.," said Jim Tust of Shawnee Mountain Ski Area.

The fireworks display is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Shawnee Fire Company, which is 100 percent volunteer.

The cost to watch the fireworks display is $10.00 per carload and all of that money goes right back into the fire company.

"They're down the road here and obviously we hope we don't ever need them but they're there and it's a complete volunteer organization. It's the right thing to do as a neighbor and we're glad to help," said Tust.
