RUSH TOWNSHIP — Police have issued a warning for drivers in Schuylkill County to watch out for a hitchhiker with a knife.

Police tell Newswatch 16 a driver told them that he picked up a hitchhiker along Route 309 in Rush Township, near Tamaqua, around 8 p.m. Sunday, and sometime during the trip, the hitchhiker stabbed the man in the neck and ran from the car.

Police believe the victim will recover.
